Lol @ Sainted. Guess you didn't have the matchbox car. I had the Hotwheel car and it was blue or green. Don't know why I remember that fact.
Its a Mantis. I remember it was one of only a couple of Hotwheels I had that had the motor poking out of the back just sitting there. This one seems to be different though cause I don't see what looked like a huge motor out back.
Not sure but I remember the Manufacturer name started with M. Not Maserati.

i'm going to assume thats a typo and give you that one pred, at least you didnt write mantits.
its a marcos mantis XP which was a prototype designed for the 1968 24 hours of le mans, only started one race, at spa, then le mans was cancelled that year and the car went to america.

Yeah Marcos! I remember now. They went on to make a few cars. To me all of which looked like someone elses already produced car. They were design stealers!

they had their own single make series here, made mostly GT race cars before they went bust, my personal favourite was the LM600, they they were more individual in the 60's i think. i always thought they looked like TVR's

Didn't they make a car that looked like the Panoz Esperante? I think I remember seeing it in ALMS once or twice a few years back. Or maybe the ELMS... That was the LM600 wasn't it!
