Penalty Situation

There needs to be some type of added time or repremand for the mostly GT drivers who either drop their controller or hit the Xbox button after they have finished and their A.I. are "racing" around the track.

The situation that this causes is that it makes the A.I. drivers veer off course and then become reset in the middle of the track, where many GTC drivers are still racing. I have seen this affect a race for GTC racers in the past two races, Hockenheim and Silverstone.

At Silverstone I actually lost a position on the final lap because of running into a parked car on the track. I shouldn't have to worry about running into it, if the finished racers would use more caution when stepping away from their system.

So I am asking that drivers that do this be given some type of penalty for it because it is unfair to the racers still competing for position and time to have to fight around obstacles not conclusive to the course.

The driver who did this sent me a personal apology. He said he was setting his controller down and it slipped out of his hand and hit the floor and the battery pack came out. I think everyone knows not to do it as he did. We all just have to be careful and if it does happen announce it. Also when you race you should always look as far ahead as you can up the track so if there is a spin or a car stuck, etc you can see and react prior to getting there. That is something that is taught in race driving schools.

Bottom line I understand your pain and we do all we can to prevent these types of things.

Also if that happens the person can just quit the race without having an impact on the other racers racing. Sure that person would not get any money or XP points but it would remove their car from the track to have a clear run for the rest of the racers. They would just have to write their time down
