Season 9 Rookie of the Season

Season 9 has rolled around and is bringing a new side of competition in with the new "ST" class cars. These street machines will be rolling off and forging a new road through the Forza Sports Car Series and will hopefully be dragging along more rookies to boot. Here's to a new season.

Eligibility: You must race more than 4 races in the current season and you must not have competed in more than 4 races in any other previous season or have raced in two different seasons.

Note: If you are signed up for multiple race classes, GT/GS classes will move you into that Rookie of the Season title contention or whichever class your first race was in (if you signed up after the first race of the season).

Rookie of the Season winners will receive a car of their choice from all of the cars in Forza 4. The only exception is that the car cannot be a VIP exclusive or Unicorn car. Previous champions will be contacted during the week before Nurburgring Nordschleife and current reigning champions will be contacted after Nurburgring Nordscheife.

It looks like we are going to have a good showing this season in terms of rookie competition. With only five days to go before the season opener at Sebring International Raceway, hopefully a couple more rookies will trickle in and buckle down for race time.

In other news, look for an interview with Season 8 Rookie of the Season champions Boostbeef and Ezt Gambit close to the mid to later half of the week.

ForstSC400 is an ST rookie contender.

If he's a rookie, I'll add him in right away.

As noted in the original post, if you were signed up for multiple racing classes, I would place you in the higher series class for rookie of the season. I consider the ST class a "lower" division because its race does not run at the same time the GT/GS race runs and because it is a shorter race with same class cars only. Since you are in GS as well as ST, your Rookie of the Season contention will be in the GS division. Hopefully that answered your question. If you are still unsure, let me know.

As a side update, I will be rechecking the registration list after the 5:00pm PST (7:00pm CST) deadline. Once that is in, just like in PredatorUSMC's post in the registration list, rookies will not be counted until Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

As a third thing, look for the Season 8 Rookie of the Season winners in this week's Pre-Race Press Conference.

Four starts and after that you are not a rookie for next season. But you will be a rookie contender all of Season 9.

Just wondering Xman, do you have starts in multiple seasons? If not, then yes, by definition, you are a rookie and I'll be adding you to the list.
