Help selecting a car Empty
PostSubject: Help selecting a car   Help selecting a car Icon_minitimeTue Sep 10, 2013 8:41 am

Due to work I will have to run GT this season. Since I have been running GS since season 7 I am not sure what to run in GT. I was thinking Corvette ZR1 (production car not race) but after seeing the track list, that may not be a good decision. Anyone have a suggestion of a good car. I need something that is stable without much tuning. I will not have much prep time each week so need something that is easy to tune/drive. In other words, pretty much the opposite of the Cadillac.

Please don't suggest a leaderboard car. You will be slapped.

The track selection presents a very good balance of speed tracks, handling tracks and balanced tracks.  Drive something you like.

If you want jump in and fairly easy to make fast:
03 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe
07 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
10 Rossion Q1

Come to mind IMO.

Thanks pred. I have a Viper in mind, not the comp coup but I nice large V10 none the less. Also considering a couple other American cars. Still thinking about the Vette. I haven't turned laps in anything yet so I still have a lot to do to get ready but I do appreciate the help. I shall try out all three of those.

I jumped in the non Superleggera Lambo the other day at 735 with a 10 minute tune on it and ran a 7:30 lap around the ring on my third lap. I did this to ummm find something out. I found out that I could run faster with less PI in this car as well as a few others I tested prior. It just further makes me care less about what PI it takes to balance performance. Long as it does what it's intended I am ok with that.

Oh, I say that to say that both of those Lambo's are contenders!

I do like the superleggera. I havent driven it at that high of a pi. I think mine for lobby racing is around 685. It is incredible though. Very nimble and light and has great accel. I dont think I've tried out a regular Gallardo. Considering some of the more radical cars too. Just not sure about handling capabilities. Things like the Bertone, the batmobile looking car, and the S5S Raptor. In GS that car is a handling machine, just havent tried it with a lot of power in GT yet. I have a long week ahead of me to find a new car.
