Latest Honda NSX Concept: Detriot Motor Show 2013

sorry for the size of the photo they have only just shown this version of it (still in concept form but its looks very close to production ready 2 me), when smaller photos are posted of it I will swap them out.

what do you guys think?

Love the front, not so much the back

Why not just reduce the size yourself?

As for teh NSX...all I really can say is it's about damn time. I am not a fan of the Acura look. However, I like the NSX.

but added a photo of the interior, I am not sure on why the centre console has to be so tall. Apart from that the concept car interior looks very nice and looks close to production (I will be surprised if the carbon fibre makes it to production)

Hmm. Looks like I like it the least. It's OK, but nothing special. It just looks too much like a slightly more bland version of pretty much all the other cars in it's class, and nothing like the old NSX. The front isn't bad but those rear taillights just don't work for me. Maybe the pictures are deceiving me, but it looks taller and more narrow than the old one too.

i think it looks nice and it has that future look, like all the cars have. i will say that its better than some generations (the 80's economy cars? lest we forget the 80's nova? what a transition! o.o) transitions. I think the interior is awesome though. the rims are killing it though, and not in a good way. they look so... funky.

Noone has one of these yet. It cannot be owned until the final build and safety checks government stuff etc. What you saw is Robert Downy Jr driving the concept car on the set of Avengers.

worse than that it was an early Honda NSX underneath and its top speed was 20mph, because if it went any faster the body panels would peel off (I remember seeing a youtube video of someone driving it around an air field), thats why we only see it moving away or moving at very slow speeds

Its too early to vote on this yet. What transmission will it have? How many gears? Engine specs and size?

I need more info before I conclude. As far as body goes, it looks great. Interior is awesome. I'm a big guy and I like the idea of a large center console area. I don't feel so ginormous that way. Plus it looks like it will hold you in the seat during heavy cornering, which is important because for me, a street car doesn't need to go 200mph. 150 is fine but it needs to hold a corner. Nothing is better than slinging through a tight corner and barely being able to hold yourself in the seat.

I would not be surprised if its a 4cylinder VTEC engine put together with some form of hybrid system (like what Porsche are doing with the 918 Spyder)

gearbox will be a automatic gearbox with paddles from what I can tell, most likely a Dual Clutch transmission, which they have confirmed they have been working on for future hybrid cars (so could be the NSX as well) and I would guess it will be a 7-speed.

most of this is correct but it is going to be a 6 cylinder with the vtec application kinda sorta and it will probably be a hybrid which is depressing because this was born a sports car and should be remade as a sports car the whole hybrid thing doesnt really work for me i mean sure there are fast hybrids but you can only do so much to them!

They will come out with two engine Types....Hybrid and I believe the 6 with the Vtec Engine...Honda would be a fool to only do Hybrid

Yeah. Hybrid = too much extra weight. Batteries are heavy.

you are right it would be mad for them to only make a hybrid version, I guess we will have to wait and see what they do.

If you think hybrid's are bad for sport cars, apprantely Audi are going ahead with creating an Audi R8 V12 Diesel, but thankfully cancelled the Audi R8 e-tron version (all electric)

see its a misconception that all hybrids are lesser. look at the race cars. those little hybrid 4cylinders can produce like 400 hp.

incase anyone does not know this is the Ferrari 599 HY-KERS (i.e. hybrid)

incase your wondering this is Gran Turismo

they say its been confirmed that it is going to be a V6 Hybrid with two electric motors at the front and the V6 powering the rear. (i.e. its a 4WD)

from what I know they will be using a system similar to the McLaren MP4-12C where the electric motors help turn in by powering one side more than the other (the McLaren applying different levels of brake power to help turn in), the Pagani Huayra does something similar using air brakes and brakes.

So its a hybrid 4wd like those audi p1s?

But certainly going to be interesting when it graces Forza Motorsport (granted it might not be till the next xbox is out), I wonder if pred will let it be in the series without the possibility of removing those electric motors on the front.

I know what an Audi R15 is which runs in Le Mans, but no idea what a P1 and google has no idea either
