| That being said, if the alms does a restart for half a class being taken out we could too. Just move those wrecked to the back of the grid. | |

I am in favor of moving the people involved to the rear *if* there is restart.

If we go this real with it, we might as well consider lag to be mechanical failure. Even if it happens at the very beginning. That Boo boo happens for real. it does. I was thinking about that the ther night. lag=mech failure and lag out (not to own room but completely)= blown motor. as long as i look at it that way i guess im okay with it. A that ranting you made the other day telling me I'm wrong and it won't work and blahhhhh blahhhhh blahhhhh. Now its ok. Thanks, you just made my day sainted. I just made some cha ching.

I agree with piihb lagging out and lag incidents should be treated like normal race failures. I mean if you take sim racing seriously enough like most of us here do I think proper precautions on bandwidth usage and proper speeds should be something we look for. If everyone has good enough connections the lag can be reduced dramatically. Plus this type of unpredictable failures happen all the timr IRL.

First of you called it zero tolerance not me I said there cant be any grey area. For your zero tolerance don't work. There is zero tolerance for intentional wrecking. If you do you are kicked from the series. That works. How about mandatory parts you have to have them on your car to race in the series, that would be zero tolerance you don't have them you get penalized. That works. Changing of build without a PI adjust zero tolerance you get a penalty if you do it and get caught no questions asked. That works. Those rules are clear and have no grey area or your zero tolerance.

I totally agree with this Option 2 I agree with is 1 restart for lag or damage caused in the first lap after 1 min of Go Go Go. Then have anyone involved start at the back of GS

| Qlutch, you may have a good point. It was obvious in practice and the races how much less lag we had between us after we both improved our connections.
Option 2 sounds decent. This change would put pressure on us to upgrade our internet I believe. (especially GT) However, in my experience, higher speeds do not always improve reliability. I think lag and service provider issues will continue to have some effect no matter what, but making efforts to reduce them may still improve competition.

| I think location has something to do with it also. I had issues at first. Once I moved to a bigger city it got much better Now we can play two Xboxs and stream netflix for the kid with zero lag. It makes a big difference I have found. | |

| As for Ched on the Drag slicks, He got penalized. Not to mention how poorly his car performed after about 4 laps. | |

I am just saying this cause before the green flag goes I kick everyone in my house off the net and hardwire the box to my modem and eliminate wifi in general . If we all did this lagging rooms won't happen. It's for a few hours a week I am sure other people can handle it if my roomies can

Hmm i dont know just a thought that maybe that when their servers are most full?

Lets all meet up in the middle of the country each Sunday and just system link all our consoles. Our British friends can meet up over there and then we can compare times to get the finishing grid. This should effectively eliminate any lag issues. You all are welcome.

| I agree with hired about if there is a no restart policy then no matter what there should be no restarts lag or not. The 1 minute deadline should be enforced AFTER gs starts. So many times this past season GT needed restarts before GS even started so that would actually give GS a chance to race. I did vote to keep the current policy though. | |
