SCHEDULE SWAP / CHANGE

I was considering adjusting the schedule so that we race on LeMans the same weekend that the actual 24 hours of LeMans is being raced. Then rescheduling Catalunya for the following weekend.  Basically reversing those two dates: LeMans June 23rd...Catalunya June 30th [The Original schedule did have the LeMans race on the 23rd)

This came about due to a schedule adjustment 3 weeks ago for Fathers day that was missed during the initial set up of dates for the races. This is the ONLY time this schedule swap/change shall occur as it has not occurred in any previous season.

I suppose that would be fine. Gives us more time to prepare for Le Mans that way.

Now I know we can get more people to vote than 10 people!  Considering how many have been to the thread.

what about PI if you swap dates then got to keep the same PI the race we did on JUNE 9th
but if it did not swap dates it will be cool so the racer can get PI before we race on JUNE 30th

So, that would null any PI adjustments from Le Mans? So we'd run the same PI three races in a row?

I don't see any real point to that. I mean, Le Mans with all of it's straightaways will be nice to have higher PI just for more speed, or to aim for an adjustment to use different parts, but it's the same as with any other time in the series. If you plan on gaining PI, you have to not do so well, which means you accept a poor finish just to hope for a better finish the following race.

PI does not change every race.  The current PI as it is currently on the website will remain through LeMans and Catalunya for most racers save some of the newest entrants to the series who are still under a heavier review.

PI is adjusted based on what you need to compete. Each races results do not directly reflect how fast a racer you are or how fast your car is as some cars are faster at different tracks.

The purpose of PI is to get drivers and cars of various skills and abilities to have closer competition.  Once a racer is competitive PI may not change for the remainder of the season, or he will receive less frequent adjustment.  New racers generally take a bit longer. Some racers who remain in the same car for more than a season have had the same PI for several races.  No PI adjustment means no build changes.

Ah, I thought it was much more of an immediate change, versus over time. Alright then.

LeMans on the 16th or the 23rd... I know you talked about Father's day this Sunday but I want to be sure.  If so, that puts Catalunya on the 30th then? Or is it 16th and 23rd?  I have a 24h race on the 30th over at TORA which is going to be a ton of work as I help administrate the site and its races as well.  I'm not sure how many folks here are running in the 24h but if its more than a few, you may want to think about giving that weekend a pass.  I'm not saying this entirely selfishly either (on maybe a little selfishly).  I say this more because of the fact that Forza has had "issues" with online pay the past couple of years during the TORA 24h of LM.  It is hard to be sure if its the fatigue or traffic volume or what but it seems that there is a ton of connectivity issues during the race (and for the entire weekend).  It doesn't seem to recover until Sunday evening (our time).

Soooo after reading this i have started putting in laps for le mans. first time i have ever felt competitive here based on times.

I don't look forward to LeMans my Vette can't get out of it's own way as it is. The LeMans weekend should be the"off" week I would like to be able to sit and watch the race without having to fit qualifying  and practice in.<2 cent.

Sunday 23 i´m on a event here in CR, at the race track.  So i´ll miss the ST race and will try to get on time for GT.  I prefer to misse the Catalunya race than the Le mans race.
