I would like to ask the pros in this series to help out the rookies (like myself) especially with getting used the tracks so we can also get better and hopefully legitimately challenge some of you somewhere down in the futere. it can't be all that fun racing alone up in front.

Some of the tips I would ask for track to track would be markers for brakes points (if any) and tips to track setups, whether it should have a softer setup and so forth.

I know this might sound like I'm asking for a hand out but truth be told in the end I (and the other racers) still have to drive to win.

I thnk anyone in advance that helps us (rookies) on our maiden season.

Its all for:
1 love, 1 passion.
Racing.

Hey JP,

I am no pro but if you see me on line just send me a message or jump in to my room...I will probably be doing some testing during most of the day but because I get a lot of calls from client I might have to quit out of the room...The best time to race with me or me providing you with some help would be after 11:30pm ET.

Also maybe you can send me your tune and I can see what I can do...I am not the best tuner but am getting better or maybe send Bimmer(Porsche specialist), Gdub, Metal or Pred your tune and see if they can help you out as well.

Hey Jp/Rookies

Don't be afraid to ask any question when practicing or even in the race. Yes we are here to race but we are here to help and have fun racing. I have gotten better thanks to not only Pred but all the other guys I have been racing with in this series

One piece of general advice for making you're braking points, do not use moveable, destroyable braking signs, someone WILL take them out. Instead use what 99% of all tracks have in common, rubber marks on the track where other cars have braked. Some tracks like Road America have a lot of shadows use can use as well.

And although my times my not show it, I do know a thing or two when it comes to tuning, my RWD Datsun 510 proves that. So if you need help with tuning, let me know.

I would definitely be interested in some testing with people, so put me on the list of interested parties.

Gdub if you are online tonight, I might take you up on that. I am having trouble finding good marks for breaking, and finding good speed to compete.

That's a great tip about the breaking points. I have been using the markers, and I didnt even think about them getting hit. It happens pretty much every online race I have been in.

Gdub, I tried to add you a few minutes ago, but your friends list is full. I'd appreciate the add, but if you are full, you are full!

I am very excited to be joining the series! Please don't count me out if I am not around for the next few weeks, I just bought a house and I am just starting the move.

Any rookies want to set up a day each week (like Monday at 8:30 for example) to get in the room together and go over the tracks? We can try to get a vet in the room to help show us the line and braking points. We can help each other on setups. NASCAR has a similar setup for rookies at each track, with a veteran who takes them out in the pace car, for example. This might help get us up to speed faster. I have been spending two-three days just learning these tracks, rather than having the time to properly tune them to be competitive. OFB helped me with the basic tune on Monday, so if we work together, maybe we can be a lot more equal to the veterans. Give them a better run for their money.....
