The Team Hondaworks Acura RSX to be campaigned in World Challenge GTS in 2010.
Team Hondaworks consist of John Whitaker from Bethlehem, PA. and Kevin Helms from Charlotte NC. Helms will be driving the No. 05 Disc Brakes Australia Acura RSX at rounds four (Watkins Glen), six (Mid-Ohio) and seven (VIR). The No. 05 Hondaworks Acura will compete in the new GTS class.
"We're excited to be returning to World Challenge with our new car. Entering our club cars last year at Mid-Ohio and Road Atlanta was a great experience and we're really looking forward to coming back with the RSX," said Kevin Helms, co-owner and driver for Team Hondaworks.
Team Hondaworks has had a very busy off season.
"We've signed nearly 20 new partners since we started this program,” said Whitaker. "We have companies from the United States, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and a handful in Europe all offering support. We have been very fortunate to meet so many great people. The level of commitment from our partners has given us an opportunity to build a fantastic car with a truly international flare.
"At one time we had South African engineers talking with engineers in Australia all the while working to build us the best braking system possible,” Whitaker joked. "It was great!”
Team Hondaworks would like to thank the following - Disc Brake Australia, Carbotech Performance Brakes, AST Suspension, Motovicity Distribution, Exedy Racing Clutch, Kelford Cams, Powerbrake, Koyo Radiators, Seibon Carbon, Enkei Wheels, Hondata, Skunk2, Ksport, APR Wings, P1 Splitters, Hasport, Sparco, Flex-a-lite, edecals.com, Mfactory and Wiseco pistons.
