Season 8 Race 4 Road America 50 Laps

So im 7 laps in i think and pulling away on rowdy in second place and i get dissconnected from xbox and put on the menu screen. So mad right now, ill see you all in a few weeks no use racing on tracks i dont like with two races im getting 0 points.

Wow ...well I quit because I had a bad case of shakes I had a cherry coke after my meds and could not stop shaking and my heart started beating fast scard the ish out of me well congrats to who ever won.

Good race in B room. Tommy Smurf was slowly reeling me in on the distance tracker then all of a sudden he was another 1,000 ft back. Not sure what happened.

Wow, what an intense race. For some reason I was on edge the entire time and never managed to settle in and get into a groove. Passing GT cars are quite scary in some areas of this track when you have the rear view mirror wing bug!

Great racing by everyone in B lobby! Fantastic battle with SkiNl3Y in the back half of the race for nearly 20 laps. One of us was lagging just a bit so it was a bit scary during some potential passes. Very very fun racing!

Got lag wrecked bout halfway through but besides that a good race

Could have had another spot but my wired controlled disconnected (the wire didnt however >.<) only took about 50% front end damage and i only lost 1.7 seconds a lap. great racing til then spending a majority of the middle 15 laps within 80 ft of Roca. The racing keeps getting better . Also. Shout out to BlueSmoke for making it through after rocketing off the track. (even missing your marker what happened for you to go that fast?)

Yeah I'm ok now I never felt that way befor really scard me but I'm cool thought about getting back on ...congrats Rowdy congrats.

Hope everyone had a better race than me. My wheel went retarded and I almost took out Rowdy. Did everything I could to avoid him, put myself in the wall, it was the only way to not take him out. Sorry for the scare buddy. Then decided that my car looked better upside down than right side up. After taking the damage from slamming the wall, mostly suspension and brakes, I tried to take the kink like normal and tapped the brakes throwing the car off it usual line and into the outside wall. It sucks to start in eighth and then just lose it like that. I've got my work cut out for the remainder of the season now.

hey pred im not entirely sure why we were racing with AI drivers but it made it harder than if you were racing with actual people, they would rear end you while braking and bump you really hard off the course if you werent on the same line as them. not cool i think it messed both me and retro up and possible a few times for chaos. bad choice this evening.

well it turns out that my fans did not help keep my wheel from freezing but maybe made the problem worse becuase on lap 9 much sooner then expected i ( as sainted said ) rocketed off the track! into the wall at 154 MPH here take a look.



It was a journy to get back somtimes i had to go in reverse gear since theres more avalible power if seams in the gear. When got back to the last turn the hill to the pitroads was too much for car that had every part at 100% damage to get until i had help from a fellow driver, so i like to nominate CThompson17 for Sportsmanship of the race becuase if it wasnt for him pushing my car up the hill i might have been there for longer and could have hurt someones chances of winning. That was the longest lap i think the series has maybe seen at 17 minutes and 26 seconds. But i was able to repair the damage and take her home to the finnish. I will finnish a race i start and not settle for a DNF.

That looks almost exactly like what happened to me. Just ask Rowdy.

was pushing too hard lost front end grip, started locking up and making mistakes. (just couldn't get in a smooth groove this race)

that will teach me for not doing a tune setup for road america.

but well done you were driving really well you deserved it much more than me, you were driving like a machine (I mean that in a good way)

I couldn't connect to your lobby and it looked like you were offline, next time send more than 1 room invite or tell those in the lobby to send invites.

Well fired my car chief today after he called me in to the pits early so had two pit twice other then that this candy was hauling the mail!!!

I'll send it when I get on. I dropped out well after the 20min mark so it should all be there.

Me and Sniper were setting up to have a great race until I dropped into my own room on lap 21-ish. Not the most fun second half of a race I've ever had, but I'm glad I got to finish anyways.

Road America Results

Congratulations to RAFT ROWDY for the GT win in his #52 Ascari KZ1R.

The GT Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is earned by THF dvsSublime in the #91 RUF RGT-8
for Charging through the field from 11th to finish 4th gaining 7 positions.

The GTC Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is earned by hannibaljazz 98 {R} in his #98 Porsche Caymen R for Charging from 24th in the field to finish 12th gaining 12 positions! Great racing through the field.



3rd through 7th in GT class was a pretty close finish. One less mistake, one lap better around GTC or GT traffic and each of those could have finished further up the grid! No matter where you are racing you gotta get after it cause a low qualifier can still make it up toward the front!


Race Room Recap and Incident Report


A Room

GT The first standing start of the season went surprisingly well. No turn 1 incidents or early lap incidents

There were some very hairy moments that could have ended ugly but due to some excellent car control and drivers really driving exceptionally well no incidents happened.

There was mild contact in GT and GTC but the incidents were racing incidents and nothing neglligent.



B Room

There was an incident with Rokker7{R} and Warpig2011 about 6 or 7 laps in that was more Rokker7's fault. However, the damage was minimal and either driver could have made a slight line change and avoided the side to front contact.


C Room

GT & GTC starts were incorrectly done with a 1 second roll off delay for both classes. A roll off delay was not mentioned other than the 15 second delay difference between GT and GTC.

Racing was clean with no incidents to mention. There was some self inflicted damage and one car with a steering malfunction taking itself out of contention but he did finish the race! Other than that good racing.

There was a good three way GTC battle going between 2 Corvettes and a Porsche. Nice racing guys.



D Room

This room was run with AI for the lack of only 3 racers in the lobby.
