| Okay Team Penske drivers, a little rough through round 1, but not totally unexpected either. More the norm for a new team than not, in a new series, I've found. We qualified very well in every class snagging 2 poles, probably because unlike some of the competition we didn't sand bag. But I'm assured that the current imbalance will be more level in the next round.
I will be on for practice all this week for Sebring and see if we can't land a few more podiums.

But whining aside good job this weekend penske boys I over heard comments in various lobbies about sand bagging the series, and it starts to make sense with how much faster the race paces were over the qual times. Know what I'm sayin. But I'm sure Pred will identify the culprits as the season goes.

Perhaps in ST where there were more guys in the 38's but really not too much tbh.

| If people wanna sandbag, let them. It only hurts their finishes and their reputation. Qualifying is a pretty short run with 6 flyers, and it's an easy track to dirty 2 laps in a row on. I'm not sure why there is drama being had all over the place here. Let your racing do the talking instead of making indirect digs at each other | |

| I for one may of look like I was sandbagging. My qual race was horrible. But I don't see how it mattered as I still gave it my best in A room and won or not won idk what the verdict was on that yet | |

| I don't generally practice too much before qualifying so I nearly always run faster in the race due the the sheer number of laps. For example this week in GT I qualified with a 1:28:5** but it took 47 laps for me to get my best time of a 1:27:7**. Also i think in the race it's more competitive so you push harder.

I'm not sure why there is drama being had all over the place here. Let your racing do the talking instead of making indirect digs at each other I don't really see it as drama to point out the obvious. When I hear giggling about sand bagging to try to game the system, someone's doing it, and all you will have to do is look at the qual times vs the race times. But this isn't news from what Pred has told me. He says he has seen it before, so it shouldn't be a "shock" to anyone who has been here for awhile. They know. (Honestly I don't care that much other than the fact that it skews the initial results. I have full confidence that Pred will adjust P.I. accordingly after a couple rounds.)

| Oh I read it. I read it all and the fact still remains that this thread is here for Team Penski to do their business. This is not the trash talk thread, its not the race day thread and its not the admin questions thread. It is here for TEAM PENSKI to communicate with each other and send out press releases to the outside community. The occasional praise is welcome if necessary and warranted but aside from helpful or collaborative ideas this is essentially a team's safe zone.
Maybe its just me, having been around racing for a long time but there are a few universal rules when it comes to racing, one of which is that you NEVER enter another man's pit stall unless invited, are seeking help or would like to ask that person to talk elsewhere. That's it. You will never win an argument in another man's pit stall because every discussion will always come back to the root that you should never have been in his pit stall to begin with. This thread is the Team Penski pit stall. Leave it at that and discuss elsewhere if totally necessary.
Please DO NOT respond to this message here. If you have something to say (which I'm sure you do) please post it somewhere else.

| Well said SP33D. And on that note, I will be on for practice with team members tonight to see if we can get these times down for Sebring. Hopefully the P.I. adjustments will be sooner than later. | |

| We are doing pretty good as a team so far. In fact despite our issues last week both on and off the track, our core is still strong and is producing the most dominant team performance of the season so far. Not totally expected, but not surprising either.
Team Penske averages a 2.4 finishing order, which is exactly the same as the NSA teams, Hendricks Motorsport teams are at 4.0. Average team points is where you see the real difference however. We average 55.2 points, NSA 50.8, and HM is at 51.75.
So keep up the good work out there today and see if we can keep it going.

| Okay Team Penske looks like we have a few issues in the livery department that need attention, so please if you would, make the corrections. I will be on Tuesday night for some practice. Sebring was not a big success as a team effort, but I did see greater on track cooperation between teammates which does help. It's hard to do in the heat of battle because we are all competing for a podium I know, but do the best you can to give your mates a brake.
If you are having a bad race don't quit out, you never know who will not be there at the end. I got crashed into (rear ended) in GT really hard while avoiding others who had crashed, and then the mount for my steering wheel came off! I decided to pull over and do a "on track repair" costing me 5 laps, and then finished the race. This saved me 1 or 2 positions lost. So "follow me!" and never quit!
