Btw, is it just me if you really consider the bang for the buck the caterham 7 in w/e version you want should be #1 on the list? i mean, ok, the corvette is a good car and its more comfortable (not a big feat tbh) but if you really just consider the performance, at 50 grand for the cheapest version you have a car as fast as a 20k$ caterham. anyway, probably a pointless arguement since the cat is more of a glorified kart then a car but i just hate to see the corvette being called the best bang for the buck when its that expensive.

If you got the money go big! If you don't have the money... get a vette, it's the best (production car) bang for your buck. Atleast thats the way I see it... But honestly I'd buy a new M3 over a ZO6 all day long and gladly get my ass beat by vettes all day long, just not the car for me...

no Corvette for me either, id rather buy a new 2011 Mustang GT500{$49,495} 550HP Check it out much more suited for a road course now, oh and i definantly think the GT500 has more bang for the buck

This has more bang for the buck AND it can turn! The gt500 is good but only if you plan to do drag race. And if you go for the kind of money that can get you a z06 caterham has the csr that can humiliate a ferrari enzo. Not to mention you got a truely unique car.

Listen I like the Z06. It is to me the best American Supercar...The Viper is second IMHO. But when you sit in the car it just looks cheesy. Not a nice interior at all. I would also keep the M3 spend a few thousand to increase the performance and have fun with the Vette's! Orrrrr my immediate plan..Buy a pre-Owned 07 or 08 GT3.

Caterham is not a realistic comparison nor is it practical lol... It may compete by the numbers it is capable of, but does it even come with a roof? The car comes with a heater to my knowledge, but no air conditioning... This rules it out as a daily driver, more of a weekend warrior/ track day car. Not half the car at the end of the day when compared to a Z06, regardless of how fast it can work it's way around a race track. Performance bang for your buck sure, but u get absolutely no bang anywhere else lol I will call it an expensive go kart at best. As for American super cars... I'll take the Ford GT thank you very much!

who need such supercial thing like air conditionning and radio or windshield or doors or foam in the seat or even a boot. I mean, yeah its utterly impractical, but you can buy one of these, have 203294932949294x the fun on a track and buy a daily car for the rest of the time. As for the dweeb factor, i'm 6'4 so you have no idea how utterly stupid i'd look ina caterham lol. That wouldn,t stop me from buying one though.

Frankly, i kinda find it stupid that pretty much 99% of the owners vette or mustangs gt500 will never go on a track with their car but only use it to flatter their ego as they roll at a peacefull rate on the main street. The bang for the buck factor is pointless imo since these car won't be used for racing but to impress chicks and get you laid more easily. Not that its a bad use...

I would take a Corvette over a Caterham any day.

i will admit back in its day the fort gt was killer, now, idk, im more of a chevy guy cuz of the sentimental reasons more than anything so yea, SS has flown through our blood since my grandfather so what can i say

not meant to be an insult, we use many tools to get laid more easily, a car is just one of them. Its no different then buying overpriced clothe (lacoste ftw) or training to get fit with no intention of ever doing sports. If you're fit in these 3 category, well... sorry XD

i would go for the caterham, i dont think anyone look anything silly in that car, if anything i would look and think YOUR F****NG NUTS!!!... I LOVE IT! the caterham is a pure bred car, non of this silly stuff you get nowadays, its about that fine engine powered to them back wheels of a light car where you nearly sitting on the chasis, sorry but when i want a sporty or fast car, i want something that when i get out of it i want tor un back at it and thrash it about again, something that gets your heart pumping and give you a feel of aggresive driving, i dont know if thats just me here, but i would go for the caterham and a normal car, than just a corvette, i think the thrill of driving is not just down the straights but alot in the turns!
