| SSRT Owners Championship For next season we are introducing the Steel Symphony Owners Championship. The goal of this championship is to provide a new level of competition as well as a new way of improving and growing the overall skill of this league. Owner Rules Owners must have demonstrated the ability to tune and race well above average. I'm looking for people with race wins and championships. Each owner will be running a team in the class that they are not competing in. The teams will consist of up to three drivers. Your car selection for your team will be under the umbrella of your personal car you plan to race. Example: If my GT car is an SRT Viper then the GTC team I own will have to run a car under the Fiat umbrella of manufacturers. If you wish to be an owner please sign up below or send myself or Dwilkerson a private message. Owner Role As an owner you will be asked to assist your drivers in providing a setup and paintjob for the series. As an owner you may be as involved as you wish providing a tune each week or simply giving suggestions. I will leave that up to you. Driver Rules As a driver you will be expected to make every race and stay committed to your team and car. There will be no changes allowed. Entering into this program will help you learn tuning and driving techniques from some of our better drivers in the league. With these resources it should be very easy to set up a car to your needs and I don't expect car changes to be necessary. Championship Each team will receive points on a weekly basis based on the average finish of their top 2 drivers. There will be a bonus point if one of your drivers wins the race. Point Structure 1st - 10 2nd - 8 3rd - 7 4th - 6 5th - 5 etc...

| Signups are open! Owner Signup: Gamertag: Team Name: Personal Race Car or Manufacturer: You may work with your drivers to determine which car you would like to run. Just let us know once you have decided. Changes may be made up until the first race of next season. Driver Signup: Gamertag: Forzascs Number: Each Owner and Driver will be approved by either myself or Dwilkerson. A driver must be approved by us. We expect the better racers to be the Owners. This is mainly to help those that want to learn aspects of tuning and better themselves as a racer. Once accepted owners and drivers may contact one another to form their teams. You may post team additions in this thread. If you have any questions feel free to post here or message myself or Dan. Good Luck!

| Just to throw this out there. Drivers who maintain loyalty to the manufacturer they ran is Season 8 will get a "Factory Driver" recognition on the webstie. The driver spotters guide will return for Season 9 also! | |

| BMW is not owned by FORD or has no corporate ties. Porsche is not owned by Chevrolet and has no corporate ties. And for god sakes : Cadillac does not own Ferrari or have any relationship (except a suspension commercial!) Cadillac is a GM product. GMC is a GM product. VW owns Audi, Lamborghini, Seat, Scoda, Bently & Bugatti BMW has no ownership other than itself, but BMW now also owns Rolls Royce It think there is more to define, but I just wanted to clear up a few that I am pretty certain of. | |

| It's top down there pred. Look again Yes that is correct for the most part. I was going to handle that on a team by team basis if it was necessary. That way i can open up more manufacturers to allow more variety if need be. | |

| Operation Kickstart: Owner: SSRT DWilkerson, Boostbeef Manufacturer: Chrysler/Fiat Official Car: 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C
That car was chosen due to it's stability and ability to go up in PI by taking away weight and adding tires, and not HP.

| Making a change. Owners must have demonstrated the ability to tune and race well above average. I'm looking for people with race wins and championships.
I'm not going to allow Roscoe and Sainted to be Owners here. I'm not convinced you have the skills to teach properly. If you would like to be drivers then please do.

Then I have 20 teams and no drivers to fill them. I am looking for people that have a large base of knowledge to pass on. I believe that Roscoe and Sainted still have plenty to learn if they wish.

| Yeah, the point of the owners championship is actually to raise the level of competition in the series. We have some people who are amazing drivers and tuners and some that well...are more casual drivers. | |

| Yes but to get better at something you have to be allowed to do it surely. And just banning people from trying something just leaves a select few drivers to compete amongst themselves while we all gaze on admiringly. Stinks of elitism. | |

The point is to help the drivers on the teams, not to glorify the owners. What Prone's trying to do is help bring the skill level of the field up. We'd rather have a few teams with a lot of drivers. I guess he should have just asked a few people instead of leaving it open.

| yes but we already have a team with roscoe running it. hes not the main tuner as its more of a collaboration, we help each other. I just dont see what would make us not eligible. | |

| This championship is not meant for a collaborative effort. The owner is the one competing here. There is a team championship for teams.
In doing this I hope that the competition of a championship causes the owners to provide better tunes and more information to their drivers.
In turn the drivers can learn things they may not know.
In doing this we are providing a huge opportunity for anyone who wants to get faster and learn.
What better way than with week to week experience with some of the best drivers in the league.
This originally was going to just be a tutoring program of sorts, but I thought a championship might keep the owners invested after the first couple of weeks.

| Any team is a collaboration with a leader. and if this is a "tutoring program" id like to revert you to my other point: "Yes but to get better at something you have to be allowed to do it surely. And just banning people from trying something just leaves a select few drivers to compete amongst themselves while we all gaze on admiringly." | |
