Another Miata Series

Can't believe we didnt touch in that last corner. and i have no idea how the outside line worked. hopefully i can replicate it when points are at stake. well done for coming up with that build/tune great racing, can't wait for the next one

The race this week is at Iberian Full Circuit. Running 42 laps with one required pit stop between laps 15-25. This is a technical course with some very fast corners and lots of elevation change. It should be a close and challenging race with many expected lead changes.

Due to the closeness of the racing last week and after talking to several racers involved, the tune will remain locked for this event. The tune that is on the car is based on the SCCA tune for the miatas. If this is not the popular vote expressed on race day, a pole will go up deciding if it should be opened.

For now this is how it is set up. I hope we have another good turn out for this week. See everyone on the track.

So exhibition number two is tonight. Hope everyone has had time to practice. This is another pretty quick track. The long wide corners allow you to carry good speed around most of the course. Lets hope for another good turnout tonight and remember to try to be in lobby by 8:05. If you'll be late just pm me.

Oh yeah and there will be some minor rule changes for qualifying tonight.

Another exciting week in the miata spec this week at Iberian Full Circuit. After 43 hard fought laps, aka Rowdy comes out on top. With a risky choice there at the end of the race choosing to stay out while everyone else pit seems to have paid off, moving him to the top spot, where he was able to hold off the rest of the field and take the checkered. We also saw our first cautions this week, keeping the field tight. Overall it was a clean race and great final exhibition to start the season.

Next week the real fun begins as the series heads to Daytona Infield (Sunset Full Reverse) for the first points race. The drivers and teams seem excited to get the season underway. This will be a long race and have the drivers fatigued by the end. With the speeds reached at this circuit the race will be nothing short of exciting. Get that practice in drivers and see you Wednesday for race one of the first season of the Miata Spec Racing Series.

Its time again for another round of the Miata Spec Cup. This week we head to Daytona for round 1 of the first season. It will be a 34 lap event, the longest of the series, with the highest speeds we will see this season. Taking roughly one hour this event will test the cars as well as the drivers and show who has what it takes to compete. We look forward to seeing everyone show up this week. Practice races will be held before the event. So try to get some track time in. Please be in the race lobby by 8:05 so we can get the race started in a timely manner. That sucks man. Sorry to hear that. Its only one though, still have plenty more.

Mears Racing

First round was rained out downed in Daytona yesterday. Seems that what was left behind from the weather system that moved through early in the week, wasn't going to let these Miatas have their fun. With that being said, it looks like the couple of those who weren't going to make it got pretty lucky. So now round two will be the first points race. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

We started out strong but due to no-one showing up for points races the series will be postponed for the time being. If interest peaks again then the series will be started back up. Thanks to those who signed up. Hopefully we can continue the series later.
