| oh yeah i watched that before, good interview and gameplay also in that interview with ralph fulton someone took screen shots of all the map and this is what they made, which is pretty epic but does show it isnt going to be a huge map but for the detail it is great, im sure theyre just held back by the limitations of the xbox | |

| the playstation isnt at all as limited. im curious to see what gt6 could/would bring ot the table as far as open world could go. just a thought. unrelated to driving but related to the amazingness of openworld and its limitations; have you seen the openworld MGS thats coming out soon? when i watched the cinematic i thought it was live actors. the FOX graphics really put every game to shame interms of graphics. theres my two cents. and for horizen i see myself spending 40 bucks for it maybe. but not the kind of cash i put down for forza4+dlc. | |

| Not really into this type of game. I guess I am more of a purist...Only enjoy realistic (as available to me) racing games, and shooters. And Madden. Horizons, Need for speed, don't appeal to me. meh, to each his own. | |

thats a fair and honest opinion, though this game is supposed to have a realism factor about it, also can someone help me out they are showing all new footage and interview on the game at 1am TONIGHT on spike tv for america, but i dont know what time that is here in England (GMT), can someone find out and tell me what time it will be in England so i can try to watch it online? thanks

I think that's what they are going for. Expanding their name. They are the best when it comes to platform race simulators. Now they are going after open world. Forza Motorsports is at it max now, other than anothwe advancement in the driveability of the cars and the graphics. Its the dominant track simulator right now. Why not expand and get an even larger fan base? Now they will be the best at a racing sim and the best open world game going after a whole new crowd, going after a whole new genre. I for one will be getting this game. My only hope, even if the game tanks, is that for fm5 the new ambient lighting and turn from night to day carries over. Throw in some rain and longer racing options and I'll be satisfied.

If they took GT5's dynamic rain and lighting system, along with the little features to go with that like the whipers, headlights/highbeams and the flash 'em button then the game would have a really nice feel for the day/night and weather. little details are where games really feel well polished. take a great game and expand on it until you think you have it right and then add in the little things. i think thats why so many last gen ps2 games were great. san andreas comes to mind, mostly because it had more features and little things compared to gta4. as these systems are reaching their limits you will see the fine details come into play.

| thanks piihb.
And for the 60fps vs. night. Well. if im not mistaken theres night driving in horizen. if they can work horizen to allow for the night time then i feel like there is a way to allow for it in a fm5. if there is an idea, then there is a way to make it happen.
also. did anyone else think that the night wasnt dark enough on those vids showing night time driving? it had a lightened hue to it (maybe it was the camera quality) once again going back to the only game that has decent night driving gt5, i really like that if you set it to the night'est' settings than you cant see past your headlight st the ring. thats some edge of your seat exciting. to me its one of the only things missing in forza. ifi could get the thrill of thinking "holy sh** is the next corner in 100ft or 500?" while doing 140 on the hardest track (imo). the thrill is like a roller coaster. maybe they wont be able to have night *and* weather at the same time but i'd settle for them as individual features where you can choose them for races. dont get me wrong its not a demand, its jjsut something that i would be ecstatic to see.
