Historic, grand, prestigious...Indianapolis Motor Speedway! The legendary name of this city and track should be an indication of what to expect and it should also be easy to know that Indianapolis is about speed and history! When your racecourse has been operating continuously for more than a century, it's invariably going to be something special. But Indianapolis Motor Speedway isn't just special, it's an irreplaceable part of the "Triple Crown" of motorsports, after Monaco and Le Mans. That puts it in prestigious company, and is a tribute to Indy's status as one of the most important American racing venues. Indy's nickname, "the Brickyard," comes from the original brick paving that is now preserved only in a one-yard strip that serves as the start-finish line. The rest of the bricks were ditched in 1961 for a much less bone-jarring asphalt surface, to the relief of drivers since. Other iconic sights remain: there's the new Pagoda, used for race control and timing, and a tribute to the wooden pagodas that stood at Indy for more than 40 years. Now it's time for the racers of the Forza Sports Car Series to etch their names once again in the history of this famed racetrack. Indianapolis will be something to remember! After the race at the Nur GP, ARix's cars were in the holding area waiting to be taken to the airport to be flown to the U S of A where the team were ready to try again @ competing.
To everyone's surprise, JP's cars were missing from the fray and had been apparently stolen.
German Police and Special Auto Task Forces combined and managed to recover both cars a whopping 100 miles away from the track holding area!
Cars are now in transit as JP patiently awaits them to try get in as much track time as he can.
ARix would like to thank everyone that helped bring the two cars home.
See you guys in Indy!!

well then. coulda went worse. i ran my qual time for more than half the race and beat my personal best of a 27.998 about 6 times (though only barely) so idk what kind of bags some of you are packing but its a good idea to lighten the load.

It was pretty disappointing that you couldn't make the race Manuel. Same thing with Speed Demon 69. The race was set to be a damn good race. It was still a good race but missing the two GT cars and then the lag out of Kamikaze and No brakes kinda took the steam out a bit from A room.

Yeah, it can be frustrating when you have to wait until the race to see what people are actually capable of. It might not be entirely intentional though. Some people are just not as good at qualifying as racing. I know my dad is like that IRL. Every race I can remember watching him, his first flying lap of the race would be at least a couple tenths quicker than his qualifying time. I know I managed to beat my best by nearly three tenths before I lost Sniper's draft with a little Formula D action in turn 2.

All I know is at the beginning of the race you were running high 28s and low 29s for the majority of the first 10 laps. So before you start calling people sandbaggers and what not, you should figure out how to run fast right out of the gate.

Well, nothings over till its over. one race can change it all. Hell, one lap can change it all. However, I am glad you feel a little defeated! I think everyone feels that a bit racing against you. So I am happy to be the one to give you a taste of your own medicine.
As for the race, who knows. You may have and you may have not. Many things can happen during a race. I know that Early in the race I was pushing when Kamikaze was all on my bumper then he lagged out and I didn't push as hard until I funked up coming out of the pits and missed turn 1 COMPLETELY and had to cross the grass to return to the surface allowing Sgt Tethras to get by. So I got the focus back and started running 1:23.7's to catch him. Then when I caught him he screwed up and went way to low entering the oval out of turn 13 and caught the sticky stuff that halted him dead in his tracks. He fell like 6000 feet back after that. I started kinda cruising and was running about a second or more off my 'normal' pace. So, I know I could have finished with a much better time but with the DNF's, the no shows I had no reason to run balls out. I just made sure to not make any more bonehead mistakes like the failed pit stop. Hell, I stayed behind GS cars and gave them EASY wide births when passing losing 7 seconds one lap!
Well, the next battlefield is Mugello. Who will be there and who will be square? My motto is still and will always be 'Never Quit'.

Dude, just don't. We all know how some people put on a "show" in qualifying. Find out what the other guys have been seen running and go a hair faster than that without really showing what could be done. Then if that doesn't get pole, its at least front area of the pack. That being said, I don't suppose there's an actual rule that says you have to give it all away either. I know I moan and groan because I know I have to try my absolute hardest to keep running laps that are the slow end of the leaders. I can't go a whole race giving 115%. It just doesn't work. As for your comment on figuring out the best way to go fast right out of the gate, you can take that one out as soon as the bags hit the pavement. You and a few others' little practice lobby games are so phony its ridiculous.

Practice lobby games? I run full tilt every practice lobby I'm in. If you remember on Saturday night when you, duty and myself had that one practice race. I did by best lap of the weekend at that point, a 28.500. You're also the one who said I would find 27s, remember? I had to have hired re tune our car so we could find speed out of it. If I wanted to play "games" I'd purposely qual bad to get hard charger every week
