Sonoma Raceway, formerly known as Sears Point Raceway and Infineon Raceway is a 2.52 miles (4.06 km) 12-turn road course located on the landform known as Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains near Sonoma, California, USA. Born out of the ideas hatched in a Mexican restaurant in Northern California in the late 1960s, Infineon Raceway has grown from a quaint regional track to one of the largest and most respected motorsports destinations in North America. Close to the heart of California's Sonoma wine country, Infineon Raceway enjoys beautiful weather year-round, making it an ideal spot for the wide variety of racing that occurs on it's flowing but difficult corners—in fact, it's one of the most utilized courses in the world, with events being held nearly 340 days each year. The course is a complex series of twists and turns that go up and down the hills. This course was utilized by all competition through 1997. Most races, including the Grand Prix of Sonoma, use the full course. The course is noted for turns two and three, which are banked on the driver's right. This provides a challenge for the driver, as turn two would normally have the drivers moving to the left side of the track. For the racers of The Forza Sports Car Series the season has developed and the championship hunt is in full frothy battle. With just two more races to go Sonoma Raceway could be the gateway to a championship!

Dang it - I had this about 95% completed and almost ready to post....

People use to complain about the lack of Officials to qualify them, but when they are in a room for more that 3 hours taking times nobody shows, and people is online but in other things.

Need to practice more with the Noble at this track to qualify with a decent time at GT.

i have reasonably large xmas plans this weekend, but i will be online only not til later later on saturday.

Qually ends at 12 midnight PST Saturday (3AM Sunday Morning for EST and 8AM Sunday English Time (GMT))

I hit a pretty sweet lap round here in my pre-race. I did the same thing at Road Atlanta, keep having these one shot wonders that I can't follow up.

This is kind of my Christmas present, my first Pole position and First win at FSCS.   
I know some fast contenders didnt ran, but i finally tasted the Champagne here.  


The 2 threats I have over me, 2 BMW M3 ( Citizen and Pred ) had electrical problems, and Hired got stuck at a fierce battle with Hunter so I was able to make a gap that gave me a run for the win.

Congrats to Hunter also who holded the attack from hiredgun and that gives a 1 -2 for the Latino Team.

Great idea roscoe..... I completely support the split of GT and GTR. Having the 2 clases together doesnt add anything to either class and it alienates (in this case) 3 people from the "A room". Break the 2 classes up and let us all race together.

After a hard hard race bettween sainted and hired... sainted got a puncture on lap 36. It 3was a slow leak and his crew advised him to go the safe route and bring the wounded car home rather than dnf. :'c there goes one race that i coulda gained on hired in points.... Dammit.

Well hired you earned that spot, if not with a little extra luck at the end to secure it. Nice job.

I should have finished last the car isn't capable of running the time you guys were running.

But if some people didnt show up, need a lot of cumuniaction between rooms to put one together, and punctuality of the drivers. That way we will have a great race.
