Wife reminded me of a family obligation tomorrow evening, so I will be pre-racing GTLM tonight if anyone else needs to - somewhere around 9:30pm EST. Obviously, will not be able to host GTLM B Lobby Saturday night either.

In turn 6, the one that heads to the Rahal straight, you can do this and still get a clean lap and improve a lot your lap time:

But the rules says that has to be at least this way:

But people use to say as it is a clean lap, and the game allows it, its ok to cut it.

Can we be clear about this too, Please!

Manuel has a good point as I'm sure we've all seen or done this on occasion. I have a feeling though with the way qualifying is setup and then raced in next few days, would there be enough time to review each racers time for clean lap etc. not to mention alot of time/effort by admin.

I mean during the race, in qual a clean lap is a clean lap as the Game allows it.
But maybe while racing many of us will cut those corners once in a while, but dont abuse it clean or not.

Pred considers 2 wheels on the curb and 2 in the dirt a legal place to drive. He sees the curbing as part of the "racing surface" so both of your pictures are legal under race conditions. Personally, I (try to) keep 2 wheels on the road surface at all times as this is how I've raced everywhere else but as far as I can tell both of these are accepted by the FSCS. (My GT car is very tough to cut here anyway as it induces wheel spin over the bump on exit.)

00:40 on Saturday morning and still no sign of anyone to qualify with. This happens every week, can someone please keep in mind that some of us live in the uk and if we have an early start need people on earlier than this to get qualified. This really isn't good enough given the penalty for not qualifying.

So who is going to be on and when?

Add "EZT Sabre" as a friend, he use to be on Line during the day. Also maybe "GTDon" can help you, he sometimes is aerly at our night time.

Ill be getting on tonight but it wouldnt be for a little bit. For future races its possible for me to get online before 3pm EST. So i can try to get on around 6 or 7 your time to get you all qualled up.

Had Doctors this morning, asked Pred to qualify me and Luongo last night, he said give him ten mins, an hour and a half later I went to bed and he still hadn't qualified either of us. I just dont think that this is very fair on the people who just happen to live half way around the globe and it needs sorting out quickly. I have tried both the suggested ones one is in a race that will go on for nearly an hour and the other is of line. What the hell am I suppose to do. Chase people all over the place? Please bear in mind that it is noe nearly 3 am my time, I have an appointment at the hospital in FIVE hours!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a way for situations like this you can set up your own lobby for 6 laps save the replay and send it to a admin..for your qual time just like we do for pre race?

sorry I couldn't catch you online mate, I am normally on on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 1pm EST- 5pm EST if you ever need to qualify in that time slot I should be home.
Otherwise I have college or work or tutoring to do.

I have a room open til the end of qually. I'm really sorry for the situation with chhelsea and I'm hgoing to see what will happenn with that

Good GTLM pre-racing Hannibal. This was not an easy track to do with the AI. The only thing worse than trying to get past one was worrying about them plowing into you once you have...

Please put me at the bottom of B lobby for GTLM. Couldn't qualify as I had a 4 Alarm fire to attended to. Didn't get home till 4 this morning. Thank you

Hit that "reset to default" button in the tuning screen. As soon as you left I went and grabbed mine, pushed it up to 748 (trans, etc), backed up and ran 2 laps (stock setup with downforce and camber added). Lap 1 was a 26.9 and lap 2 was a 26.337. The car behaves very well with the exception of faded brakes. As far as wheel spin, for me the ZR1 would not break the tires loose outside of 1st gear (slightly at the bottom of 2nd). If you need help with it I can give you what I have but its really very little more than a stock tune. Try putting your gears back to stock and see if that helps. To be honest the ZR1 feels waaaay better than my skyline and I believe could easily get faster laps if I drove/tuned it. I didn't run the vette simply because it had no exrra aero, which I like to have.

So I manged to tighten up my Porsche's tune last night and also ditched the flywheel and clutch upgrades I've been using for years since I read on here the other night that they're apparently worthless if you use clutch (who knew?) which right there gave me 10 extra PI over what Pred gave me. Then this morning Roscoe looked at my build and suggested I reduce the front tire width, something I never would have thought to try and it was like night and day difference for some of the problems I was having.

Now my times on Laguna Seca are pretty rediculous. Just gotta get more consitant.
