QUALIFYING CLOSES @ 12:30PM PST Each Race Sunday! Last session Held at 12:30PM PST
For the halfway point of the season The Forza Sports Car Series once again travels to the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in France. Top speed heaven! It is obvious that this track puts a premium on top speed so it can be said with certainty that this track will display the highest sustained speeds drivers will see on any track during the season. With such a rich history of racing this track will undoubtedly stir excitement with many racers and fans alike. This race marks the halfway point of the season and thus the racers of the series begin to eyeball the run to the championship. Some will look at their first half results and be content and other will not. Some will focus, get determined to improve and try to make a run if not for the Championship but to snag that points position in front of them. Each season we see a second half attrition rate as some give up and others just fade away. The second half is where Champions are made! Where will you be at the end?

My best is slightly better than the example. But there is no way you are that much slower buddy bot. Without giving anything away i have seen people with low low pi hit faster than that. Ill be pushing my hardest to get near it though.

I don't think your hitting a 28 in your st car. If you are we may as well not race with you. Pole last season was a 39.8.

ST Did not race Le Mans last season. The example time was 4:38. fat finger hit the 2 instead of the 3. I fixed that! Sorry for the panic.

Qualifying at 5 laps, hmm. Will we be allowed to cross the line and make the last lap count as well, and someone just lay back and get the times, or are we going to basically end up with 3 laps to put down a good time?

I had a feeling it was still that way. First lap will be slow, so you've only got about three laps to put a good time down. Granted, on a track this long, I suppose we'll see some pretty decent variances in times anyway, so if you don't get any clean laps, or your first one happens to be your only clean lap, or something.. I don't imagine it setting you too far back. But, it definitely shall be interesting. I'm interested to see how it turns out.
Again, not complaining, just thinking out loud this time.

GT - Ferrari feels good. ST - BMW feels like molasses going uphill in the wintertime slow.

I'm really looking forward to this year's Le Mans. Last year I didn't get to see much of it, but 2011, I nearly watched the entire thing. I ended up dozing off in the last hour because of just sheer exhaustion, but I really want to watch all 24 hours one of these times.
I wish this weekend was our weekend off instead, so I could definitely do so, haha. I can't decide how I want to do this, to maximize viewing time, and still be in good shape for the race Sunday evening, and fit in qualifying at a good time as well.
Hmm.

Possibly, but I've found joy in attempting to watch the entire race straight, and live. I have a feeling it's going to come to that, though.
Grr, I've got such a freaking busy week, it's cutting into my practice time. Heading out for the evening tonight, and if I DO get to put some time in tomorrow, I won't get home till going on 8, but I can probably still get 2-3 hours in. I'll likely do it hot lapping though, since I haven't gotten the line down yet, though I'm decently happy with the tune I put on it the other night.

I am simultaneously looking forward to and dreading this race. With the build I have going, I just do not have enough top speed for this track. This may be the first race this Season where I run slower than Season 9.....

Trust me, you have PLENTY of top end in that thing. My teammate Ched can run full aero and still beat me in the straight while i run none. Ill be doing top 175-177mph on the straight and holding on for the ride in the porsche curves. You should be set with such amazingly good mechanical grip. The width of the porsche tires allow it to run well with low to no downforce.
