Season 5 Race 2 Mugello 40 Laps

For the Second race of the Forza Sports Car Series we travel to Mugello, Italy to the flowing curves and elevation changes of Mugello Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. As the home test track to Ferrari Scuderia F1 team you can expect a track that is not only fast but demands everything from the cars...speed, handling, braking, and balance. With such names as Schumacher, Zanardi, Daly to have driven here history is sure to be made!

Qualifying Room Set up For Mugello

As a racer you are responsible to be in the proper qualifying room ON TIME! (Room set ups begin at 3:30 PST / Qualifying will begin at 4:00pm PST)

WE NEED AS MANY RACERS AS POSSIBLE TO SAVE THE RACE AND QUALIFYING ROOM SET UPS JUST IN CASE WE NEED AN EXTRA ROOM HOST OR TWO.

WITH THIS MANY RACERS THE BURDEN OF TIME IS ON THE RACER. WE CANNOT HOLD THE WHOLE OF EVERYONE UP IF YOU ARE LATE! BE ON TIME AND IN THE RIGHT ROOM OR BE LEFT OUT!!

Having time to shoot for is a HUGE plus, much thanks for that info now I know how slow I'm going . I mite have to change my name to Captain Slow. ( oh wait !!, someone has that name already)

The best way to get faster is just to put in the time on the track. That's the most important. The tune and other variables improve your times after you 'learn' how to drive the track.

Predator, I am going to assassinate you if you keep calling mugello Ferrari's test track, or home track for that matter.

Fiorano is Ferrari's test track. It is their own private race track located in Maranello, Italy. No other track should be considered Ferrari's home track than Monza. It has been ongoing since 1922, and Enzo won his first Italian Grand Prix in 1949. Ferrari has more wins at this track than any other constructor.

So, how is Mugello and my beloved Ferrari even in the same sentence?

Scuderia Ferarri tests there but yeah it often gets incorrectly referred to as "Ferarri's Home Track" and what not.

It's the closest thing to a hometrack for Ferrari in the game, just like I consider the ring to be the german manufacturers home track and Silverstone to be the british home track.

Oh and my microsoft wheel broke this evening, and I'm not able to control a car with this high of PI with the precision needed to really drive in this series. Until I can get another wheel I'm going to have to drop out.

So pissed.

Its my stag weekend in Hamburg this weekend, should make Sundays race interesting, I expect to be home a couple of hours before hand so testing is once again going to be limited!

For the guys across the planets biggest 'pond' a stag weekend is basically a 3 day long bachelor party.

I'll also be pre-racing as a very generous person is sending me their wheel so I don't have to drop out.

On that note, I have 2 wheels that have the same problem (constant turn while the wheel is straight) but otherwise works fine. If anyone wants them to try and fix either or both all you need to do is pay shipping and they're yours

Could somebody elaborate on the eligibility to pre-race?

Looking ahead, I know I will miss some races due to my work pattern and if there's an opportunity to still score points and thus keep myself in contention, I'd love to take advantage of it.

Eligability? I guess as long as you send your replay to Pred before the actual race on Sunday night you'll be ok. is that what you mean?

And yeah I'm cooking dinner for my mother sunday night so I'm just gonna prerace with kemlo and veevee so I dont have to rush home.

Is it the case that you just run the race with AI cars? The thing I don't understand is that I would consider it an advantage to race with AI cars which leaves me wondering, why not pre-race all the time?

I don't know if anyone can clear this up for me as it doesn't elaborate much in the rules section regarding pre-racing?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me with this.

The tradeoff is you get a time penalty added to your total race time. For example I preraced at Sebring and had 1 minute added to my total time.

I appreciate your help, that pretty much clears things up except for the 1 minute time penalty you mentioned, In the thread it states 30 seconds?

prerace was going ok until my GD wheel freaked out yet again and paused it so I ended up hitting a wall. at least it was like lap 32 of 40.

Just a few more hours of Prep before its qualifying and race time!
