Congratulations to METAL C6R in his #65 Chevrolet Corvette Racing ZR1 for an excellent race and taking home the win in GT!

Congratulations to Matthnt in his #96 Aston Martin V12 Vantage for a hard fought win in GTC.

The GT Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is given to RAFT KURTMAN in the #20 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera of RAFT Racing for Charging through the field from 15th to finish 7th gaining 8 positions.

The GTC Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is given to Raceboy77 in his #77 Acura NSX for Charging from 27th in the field to finish 5th gaining 22 positions! Great racing through the field/size]

A Room -

The GT start was pretty good. There was a car or two that were just a bit out of line just as the race began but it was more or less due to brake lights and last second avoidance maneuvers.

The GTC start was very nicely done!

Lap 5 Rokker7{R} in the #50 Ferrari Challenge Stradale and No1 Tommy Smurf in the #190 Aston Martin V12 Vantage get together as they head down the drop off. Rokker was on the inside and as they begin to plunge down the fast curvy straight they bang doors causing the Aston Martin to slide out wide and hit the wall with considerable damage. No one at fault. Two racers racing hard and paying the price for neither giving any room for the other.

The race was very clean with no incidents to report. There was some light contact in GTC but none that was negligent requiring penalty.

No racing incidents to penalize



B Room -

Good clean start of the race in GT & GTC.

No car to car contact beyond that of hard racing. Nothing negligent or serious to rule upon.

No further incidents to note.



C Room -

The GT start was good. Single file with no jumpstarts.
The GTC had a great start. Some people timed the start perfectly and got great runs into turn 1. However, due to this it looks like many people ran out of road or talent in turn 1 as many cars touched, banged and bumped causing mild to moderate damage to cars. None was negligible or was any one person at fault. Simply too many cars trying to do too much in one corner at the start of the race.

Lap 9 - Luongo27 in the #70 McLaren GT MP4-12C GT3 following THF dvsSublime in the #91 RUF RGT-8 as they come out of the tunnel and into the lake turn carries more speed than the RUF and tries to go underneath as the RUF begins to drift out wide. Luongo27 did not have enough room underneath at the closing speed he had and the front right of the McLaren touched the left rear of the RUF causing both cars to lose a lil grip and get a little out of hand, but both quickly recovered and continued on with minimum damage. No penalty, race incident. But be careful Luongo27 this was close and could have become the fault McLaren. It was a great battle you two had going for the whole replay.

D Room -

The GT Start was good. No problems.
The GTC was spaced too far apart between cars at the start.

Kutts88 jumped the start (much faster than the leader at the start line) - Warning

Lap 11 - LAG hit between BLACKxxRAVENxx{R} and bLuEsMoKe305 {R} (cosmetic damage)

XxBigRed03xX -Red Window Tint on Vehicle RULE INFRACTION 2.0H - Windows Cannot be tinted. NO window tint allowed on vehicle.-

Have not reviewed it yet...Need replay to review.

READ IMPORTANT

There were quite a few racers who were not keeping their cars on the proper racing surface. In doing so violating rule 6.4 - INTENTIONALLY CUTTING CORNERS OR GOING OFF THE RACING SURFACE will not be permitted or tolerated. The driver may be warned or receive a time penalty or disqualification. At least 2 wheels must be on the track at all times.

Due to the severity and the amount of racers in violation this is how it will be handled and will be soon written into the rule book for clarification. Any racer who has 4 tires off track at any time 3 laps in a row will incur Penalty 7.1 and or any racer who commits penalty 6.4 more than 1/2 the laps available to be viewed will incur Penalty 7.1 (example replay shows 10 laps. A racer has 4 tires off the racing surface 6 of those 10 laps will incur the penalty.) - Just for racer information the 30 second time penalty is equivalent to a drive through pit stop, hold and go common in racing -

2 Race Probation means a racer has to keep his nose clean and not violate any series rules for the next two races or the next penalty moves to step 2 of the penalty process as per the series rules.

That should be a wake up call for a few people. I know I went wide 2 or 3 times, I guess those were it. Thanks for taking the time to look at all of that Pred, really show's off the professionalism you work for in this series.

Just wondering, does rule 6.4 (Intentionally Cutting Corners) apply to areas of the track that have "sticky" or "slick" sections? I realize that Bernese Alps really doesn't have these but I'm more asking about tracks like Hockenheimring, with its "slick" drag strip or Sedona, with its "sticky" chicanes.

This has more to do with using the non-racing surfaces to gain an advantage.

For clarification what constitutes a cut? All 4 tires below the actual line painted on the track or when the game says its a "dirty" lap with the triangle beside the time? I ask because at hockenheim you can put your outside tires on the inside rumble strip which is well below the painted line and the game considers it clean.

I would say if it doesn't dirty your lap it's fair game.

Off track is when a racers left or right tires both of them at the same time go over the line or curbing that is the designated racing surface. By over, the rule is if upon review an Official can see the line yellow/white or whatever color it is for that track on the other side of your tire the car has gone off track. I will take a close up picture and post it for easy visible clarification.

The racer who asked about the slick or sticky areas of track....If it is off track it is off track. All tracks make a clear distinction to what is the designated racing area. Many tracks have run off area to help racers in case of a mistake to save them from damage such as gravel traps, grass run off, paved surface to help recover. But these are not legal areas to use regularly or at will to gain advantage.

The ONLY track that I am aware of that gives races the OK or is lenient on this rule is at Infineon/Sonoma where the cars hop over the curb and then have to cut back on to avoid the wall. I may have to view the track because my guess is they have designated that as track area because if not it would be penalized just as any other off track racing.

Yeah, well the walls and tire barriers define that corner fairly well. lol I think the only line on the final corner is on the inside and if you get your whole car inside that line you might be banging up against a wall.

My wides were all mistakes, not the easiest car to get around Burnese.

Predator if you are referring to the short chute on the NASCAR version we won't have to worry about it since it's not part of the full circuit.

yeah, my cuts were accidental, just turning in a bit too soon :/ but good job on enforcing that, this track is a bad one because of the huge run off area etc. and also, good job on how quick everything was posted :p
