The first race of Two Thousand and Thirteen The Forza Sports Car Series will race on the hollowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Located in Speedway, Indiana (an enclave suburb of Indianapolis) in the United States. When your racecourse has been operating continuously for more than a century, it's invariably going to be something special. But Indianapolis Motor Speedway isn't just special, it's irreplaceable. A modern infield road course was constructed between 1998 and 2000, incorporating the western and southern portions of the oval (including the southwest turn) to create a 2.605-mile (4.192 km) track. Indy's nickname, "the Brickyard," comes from the original brick paving that is now preserved only in a one-yard strip that serves as the start-finish line. The rest of the bricks were ditched in 1961 for a much less bone-jarring asphalt surface, to the relief of drivers since. Other iconic sights remain: there's the new Pagoda, used for race control and timing, and a tribute to the wooden pagodas that stood at Indy for more than 40 years. There's also the famed Gasoline Alley pit area. The question that will be answered is who will be the first victors to cross the line in 2013 at one of the most historic tracks in the world. In the time of day we are running it you can see the course better bc the light isnt so bright. I think this will be an amazing race for st. Lots of room and places to go 3 or 4 wide, maybe more. On the other hand Im not looking forward to the GS race lol.

I can go either way on The Brickyard. I kinda like it but then I kinda don't. It doesn't 'flow' that well to me. But it is a challenging track to hit your apexes with many of them kind of blind apexes. I can't find the pace I had last season. But I am still looking

I am hoping that lack of pace is the same with everyone. I was a second off last year as it was and struggled to qual A lobby.

I see the track is getting busy in Indianapolis as I have received the first couple of qualifiers.
Those times will be posted on the website tonight.

Are you implying we're doing the sunrise version? because no where has Pred mentioned this.
