Forza Sportsman Series

The series that i am proposing will be ran on Wednesday nights at 9:00 pm eastern time and will be a simulation of a Saturday night local event. The series will consist of Trucks, Street Stocks, Limited Late Models and Super Late Models which are only ran during special events. All of which have certain restrictions much like what a local track would have. In this series you are not only limited to a certain class, you can run one or run them all. I have listed all of the rules and specs. for the cars below. Please sign up below if you are interested.


Truck Rules

Transmission: Race transmission is permitted but driver can only use 4 gear setup

Max Horse Power: 825 ( -15% Power Handicap)
Weight: 3390 lbs.
Transmission: Race transmission is permitted but driver can only use 4 gear setup
Tires: Race Tires Required
Payout: 1st position


Super Street class

Car: 93 Mustang
Max H.P.: 400
Minimum weight: 2,500
Max P.I.: A 600
Transmission: Race transmission is permitted but only 4 gear setup can be used
Forza Aero required
Race roll cage required
Payout: 1st position



Track Rules:

Track: Twin Ring Motegi Oval

Regular Show: Trucks- 10 lap Feature, Street Stocks- 15 lap Feature, and Limited Late Models- 25 lap feature

Qualifying: Qualifying will be held the night of the race before the race begins. Track Record will be set after the first race night is completed. Depending on the scheduled events for the night, each class may or may not qualify. If a particular class does not have a qualifying session, the order will then me set to random.

Race Start: Race will be a double file start. Once the person in last position calls clear, the leader then has the right to call go until he reaches the start/finish line. If the Leader has not called “Go” by the time they reach the start finish line the race can officially start.

Cautions: If you are involved in an accident involving 2 or more cars, a caution can be called. After the caution the field will then re-assemble in the order that they were in when the caution came out. If a caution occurs on the first lap, the order will be reset to your original qualifying position. Restarts will be double file and follow the same rules as the start of the race. If you are involved in an accident after the first lap is completed you will be placed at the tail end of the field. If there is 3 cautions in a row without running at least 3 laps green, restarts will be single file.

Room Restart: There will be no restarts. The only condition for a room restart will be due to lag. If lag happens after the first lap is completed the race will not be restarted.

Points System: 1st (16) 2nd (15) 3rd (14) etc.... Driver who wins will receive 1 bonus point for winning the race. Driver who earns pole will receive 1 bonus point.

Regular Show Purse: All Payouts will be in Forza Credits and are as follows

Trucks: 25,000 credits
Street Stock: 50,000 credits
Super Street: 75,000 credits
Limited Late Models: 1st place 100,000 credits

Special Event Purse: Special event purse will be announced on the schedule

Yes they will be run one after another. Qualify then race (class 1) qualify then race (class 2) and so on.

Where i live they have all the same divisions run weekly (well same names mostly) except the Street stocks are Monte's. However, we have a few slower divisions, MiniStock (late 80's- early 90's stang) and X Cars (along with Super X) The Camaros fit in with the super X as they run basically a stock version of a 70's muscle car. But the X cars are interesting, its a jumble of all sorts of cheap cars that you can find for less then a grand, all they need is basic safety equipment which makes it pretty interesting.

for the street stocks it says pre 70 camaro. do's that include the 69 Z28, 69 SS, and the 70 Z28?

Im going to assume Firebirds bc they are very similar. Maybe Stangs? Will there be different restrictions so that cars that are lighter can have a lower HP restriction? Chevelles? Novas? Sounds like the kind of division i have been looking for >. What about a "Sh*t Box" division, like clunkers? lol

What time does test and tune open up?

Test and tune opens at 9 eastern tomorrow night.

is there an end time? i can make it but ill be late.

Probably an hour and a half. It will be like 9:15 when I get on. I just realized I don't get off work till 9. I will probably designate a host and get it started and I will be there as soon as I get home.

Dr. Piihb will most likely be that host but I will verify that with him.

I will try to be on at 9 to have lobby open. Check under user created lobbies. It will be in timed events and named fscs sportsman. Hope to see you all there.

Car testing will be complete tonight. As of now I have the 77 Trans-Am to add to the list. Hope to have a good turnout tonight as well. I will be holding a short drivers meeting after the test and tune is complete to go over qualifying procedure.

We are glad to have all the interest in this series. Also if there is someone that does not want to race and is looking to get involved in this series, we are looking for a pace car driver if there is less than 16 drivers. If there is 16 drivers we will proceed without a pace car.
